The plastic suit is intended for use in contaminated areas of nuclear power plants or in other open source activities or radioactive materials with a risk of contamination (liquids, powders, solids, etc.) to ensure the protection of personnel operating in these areas.
When the plastic suit is used with the Tyvek hood, it becomes a very efficient protection ssytem against radioactive particles, radioactive iodine and tritium.
The plastic suit is worn over normal work equipment.
The plastic suit is used with the Tyvek hood, safety helmet, combined air supply and communication system, and latex gloves that attach to the suit using the rings from the wristbands of the suit.
The Ram’s Horn air supply system is intended for use with the tyvek hood or single-use coveralls in radiologically controlled areas.
The hose is intended for use by personnel wearing plastic suits, with the Ram’s Horn breathing system or air-supplied half-masks, in radiological areas. The hose connects to clean air sources in radiological areas.
The ProTech Light Blue coverall is used in nuclear power plants to protect the Mark IIIB plastic suit in wet areas or for activities where there is a risk of heavy water spraying.
The ProTech Light Blue coverall is reusable.
In the radiological area, the ProTech Light Blue coverall is worn over the Mark IIIB plastic suit, along with the overshoes that come with it.
The Tyvek hood is intended for use in contaminated areas of nuclear power plants or other similar activities to ensure the protection of personnel operating in those areas. The hood is used with the plastic suit and the Ram’s Horn air supply system.
The hood completely covers the head and the upper part of the chest and is made of a single piece with a polycarbonate visor. The visor has a U-shaped window at the bottom that can be closed or opened with a transparent adhesive tape.
The Tyvek hood is worn over the plastic suit and the protective helmet that is fastened by the 3 clamps with which the hood is provided.
This product is intended to protect against radioactive contamination; the contaminant may be in solid, liquid or gaseous form.
The gloves are waterproof, being made of natural rubber, mixed with neoprene, which gives them the following structure:
– The inner layer of rubber is covered with a cotton lining.
– The outer surface is treated with silicone, thus being non-slip in the area of the fingers and palm.
PUNTA textile overshoes can be used in controlled areas of nuclear power plants to protect the feet from radioactive contamination and must be worn over protective footwear.
Both the material from which the sole is made and the material from which the upper part is made have the property of self-extinguishing and do not contain chlorine, thus being able to be incinerated. It also provides good protection on wet surfaces due to the non-slip sole.
The protective footwear, model Safe2Walk S3 can be used in controlled areas, as protective equipment against radioactive contamination and it was designed to protect against injury caused by impact with heavy or sharp objects.
The material of the sole reduces the risk of slipping and is antistatic. Each shoe has a label on the inside that contains information on the degree of protection and size.
